Perfect - Kimberly James' Lesson in RS

Next time you are stressed, take a step back , inhale and laugh. Remember who you are and why you are here. You’re never given anything in this world that you can’t handle. Be strong, be flexible, love yourself and love others. Always remember , just keep moving.
You are perfect exactly as you are; there is no need to change anything except the thoughts that you aren’t good enough.
Perfect – The Guide to the scriptures
Complete, whole, and fully developed; totally righteous.
Perfect can also mean without sin or evil. Only Christ was totally perfect. True followers of Christ may become perfect through his grace and atonement.
To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
Winston Churchill
Let your heart be perfect with the Lord.
1 Kings 8:61
Perfect love casteth out our fear.
1 John 4:18
But let patience have her Perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
James 1:4
Perfection is not attainable but if we Chase perfection, we can catch excellence. - Vince Lombardi
Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect.
Quit waiting for everything to be perfect. You have everything you need right now.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering; Forbearing one another, if any may have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness
Colossians 3:12-14
Arthur Ashe said: Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
I may not be perfect but parts of me are pretty awesome.
I’m practically perfect, in every way" - Mary Poppins
True love does not come by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.
Be ye therefore Perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. - Matthew 5:4

Announcements

Choir - Next Sunday, March 24, all of the Relief Society sisters and Young Women are invited to sing Hymn 309, "As Sisters in Zion" during Sacrament Meeting.  When it is time to sing, simply bring your hymn book and sit up front on the "piano" side if you are soprano and sit on the "organ" side if you are alto.

"Perfect" Quotes from Sunday's RS Lesson - I have attached some quotes that were provided by Sister James in her lesson yesterday, "Becoming Perfect before the Lord: 'A Little Better Day by Day' ", Chapter 6 of Teachings of Presidents of the Church - Lorenzo Snow.  The lesson was very uplifting and the quotes Sister James shared with us were particularly so.  We wanted to share them with you and later they will be posted on the blog site as well.  "Do not expect to become perfect at once.  If you do, you will be disappointed.  Be better today than you were yesterday, and be better tomorrow than you are today." - Lorenzo Snow

Positive Thinking - Sisters, the Relief Society presidency would love for you to visit the Sunrise Ward blogspot, Charity Never Faileth, and post comments on how you are doing with your clickers and positive thoughts!  Share your experiences and lift each others spirits!

Welcome back, Sister Butcherite.  We love you!

Presidency Message} Dear Sisters –
I very much enjoyed the February visiting teaching message – Guardians of the Hearth. It gave me so much comfort knowing the important mission that we have as sisters in Zion. I especially like the words that President Hinckley used about being a nurturer, "
no other work reaches so close to divinity as does the nurturing of the sons and daughters of God." Recently, David and I received a letter from our daughter Jenny’s future mission president. He expressed his appreciation to us "
for preparing her in such a way that she is ready and worthy to serve the Lord and help build the Kingdom in the Tucson, Arizona vineyard." One of the most valuable gifts as a parent is seeing your children grow in the gospel of Jesus Christ! He went on to say while Jenny, "serves as a faithful and honorable missionary that it will be a great blessing not only to her but to our entire family." Keep your head up and press forward sisters!
Love,
Tina Butcherite
