Charlie's Dinosaur

This year's service project is closer to home. Charlie and Branden's grandparents are members of the Firgrove Ward in our stake. We would like to support this project in memory of Bro. and Sis. Cox's grandchildren.

A little about Charlie's Dinosaur Project

Two Pierce County deputies, the same ones that officially informed Chuck and Judy Cox that their grandchildren had died in the fire set by Josh Powell last year, had an idea when they found a picture of a dinosaur drawn by Charlie. They wanted to use the picture as a logo for a non-profit foundation to help foster children who they come into contact with through their work.

The plan is to provide backpacks to transport foster children’s personal possessions when they have to be moved from one foster home to another, and to provide them with their own brand new, not hand-me down, personal items to keep. With the Cox's permission they began the Charlie’s Dinosaur Project. Read more about the project.

Doing our part

Below is a list of suggested items to donate. Items must be brand new and have tags on them. We will be collecting everything at the conference; so please remember to bring them with you. A representative from CDP will be there to acknowledge the donations.

Each ward is also asked to donate at least one (1) carry-on size suitcase with wheels and one (1) back pack. Wards can decide to fill those with items for a particular size and gender or have Sisters donate random items from the below list. All items should be small enough to fit into the suitcase or back pack.

A quick note from Charlie's Dinosaur Project

Dear Donor, your gift will be delivered by the Pierce County's Sheriff's Department to Foster Care Children. Your kind generosity will make a meaningful and measurable difference and will be greatly appreciated. Above are suggested items needed to fill back packs for school and small suitcases to accompany the children into their new environment. It is so important that these children have the clothes and materials necessary to maintain their dignity. Thank you.

Graham Stake Conference - Class Survey

Hello Sisters!
We are just over a month away from conference. Hopefully you've been able to visit the Conference Blog to read the class descriptions. There are a few more details we are sorting out, and we need your help. Below is a link to a quick survey based on your class interests. There are three questions total. Your answers will help us with room assignments to ensure everyone has the opportunity to attend their preferred classes.
There is no registration for the conference and the survey is completely anonymous. Thank you for helping us!

Thank you,

Graham Stake Womens Conference

Hello Sisters!

We're doing it again! The 2013 Graham Stake Women's Conference will be held on Saturday, March 9th. We know this seems far away, but we want to start spreading the word. Our theme this year will be Scatter Sunshine, and our scripture is Psalm 100.

We are also excited to announce that along with the Conference Blog, we have a Facebook page! We hope this will help us keep our sisters more informed. We are working hard to make this conference another wonderful experience and will update our blog and FB page as information is finalized. So stay tuned!

Sincerely,
Graham Stake Relief Society
